Furniture is as individual as the person buying it. There are many styles to choose from to represent your own taste. At Golden-Fowler, we offer many styles, the most popular being Traditional, Contemporary, and Casual.

Traditional: Traditional home furnishings are pieces with smartly tailored silhouettes, usually a rounded or "roll" arm, and often traditional treatments such as nail-head trim, a neatly pressed skirt, and a tightly upholstered back. Accent pieces may include elaborately carved wooden legs and trim, or simple and elegant "Queen Anne" styles meant to be unimposing in a room. The feelings you should have walking into a traditional room would include nostalgia, opulence, fancy, dressy, or all the above!


Contemporary: This style can best be described by terms such as clean, classic, uncluttered, or sophisticated. Used everywhere from urban lofts to lakefront summer homes, contemporary style gives an airy feeling of open honesty. The shape or form of a piece will likely follow its function, and its beauty will be matched by its practicality. The pieces will be created to command attention and serve as an exclamation of style in just the perfect spot!

Casual: Casual home furnishings span nearly every decorating style, but have one statement in common… "Come on in and live here!" The look may be elegant, whimsical, or garden-like. This is the best style to make daring combinations of woods and fabrics, sometimes using four or five different, yet complimentary, patterns. Conventional rules about size and placement are truly optional, giving you countless ways to make a room unique!
